Vional IT Service LLP ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Language Translator mobile application (the "App") for Android and iOS devices. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you download, install, or use the App.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. The App is designed to work without creating a user account. We do not sell your personal information.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the App, the following information may be processed:

• Text you enter for translation — words, phrases, or sentences that you type or paste into the App to be translated. This text is sent over the internet to third-party translation services when you are online and request a translation.

• Offline translation cache — previously translated text may be stored on your device so translations can be shown when you are offline.
• App settings — preferences such as theme (light/dark), auto-translate, and auto-detect language are stored locally on your device.
• Network status — the App checks whether your device is connected to the internet to enable online translation and offline mode. This check is performed on your device.
• Clipboard (optional) — if you use the copy feature, text is copied to your device clipboard. We do not access or upload clipboard data to our servers.

We do not require you to register, sign in, or provide your name, email address, or phone number to use the App.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use information processed through the App to:

• Provide translation between languages you select
• Save translation history, favorites, and cached translations on your device
• Remember your app settings and preferences
• Enable text-to-speech playback when you tap "Listen"
• Detect source language when auto-detect is enabled (processed on your device when possible)
• Improve reliability of the App (for example, by detecting online or offline status)

4. Third-Party Translation Services

When you translate text while connected to the internet, your input text is transmitted to third-party translation providers to generate a translation. These providers are independent services and are not operated by Vional IT Service LLP. They may include, but are not limited to:

• Google Translate (via publicly available translation endpoints)
• Lingva Translate and similar open translation mirrors
• MyMemory Translation API

These third parties may process your text according to their own privacy policies and terms of service. We recommend reviewing their policies if you have concerns about how translation requests are handled.

We do not control and are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party translation providers.

5. Data Storage and Retention

• On your device: Translation history, favorites, offline cache, and app settings are stored locally using your device's secure storage. You can clear history and favorites from within the App at any time.
• On our servers: We do not operate backend servers that store your translation text. Translation requests are sent directly from your device to third-party translation services.
• Retention: Local data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App.

6. Permissions

The App may request the following device permissions:

• Internet access — required to fetch translations when you are online.
• Network state — used to detect whether the device is online or offline.
• Text-to-speech — used when you choose to listen to translated or source text. Speech is processed using your device's built-in text-to-speech engine.

You can manage or revoke permissions at any time through your device settings. Some features may not work if required permissions are disabled.

7. Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Information may be shared only in these situations:

• Translation providers — text you submit for translation is sent to third-party services as described in Section 4.
• Legal requirements — we may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request.
• Business protection — we may disclose information to protect the rights, safety, and security of Vional IT Service LLP, our users, or others.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information.

9. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information processed through the App. Local data is stored on your device using standard mobile storage mechanisms. Translation requests sent over the internet use encrypted connections (HTTPS) where supported by third-party services.

However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to third-party translation providers.

10. International Data Transfers

When you use online translation, your text may be processed by third-party services located in countries other than your own. By using the App, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in those countries.

You can:

• Clear translation history and favorites from within the App
• Disable auto-translate and auto-detect in App settings
• Use the App offline with previously cached translations (where available)
• Uninstall the App to remove locally stored data from your device
