App: Trend Tea | Package: com.trendtea | Developer: Vional IT Service LLP
Vional IT Service LLP ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your information. This Privacy Policy explains how Trend Tea ("the app") accesses, uses, stores, and safeguards information when you use our mobile news application.
Trend Tea is a short-form news reader that aggregates publicly available news headlines and summaries from third-party RSS feeds (such as BBC, Google News, The Guardian, Al Jazeera, and TechCrunch), lets you browse and save stories, listen to an on-device audio briefing, and open full articles in your browser at the original publisher.
Summary: We do not require you to create an account. We do not operate a backend server that collects or stores your personal profile. Most data (saved articles, topic preferences, reading streak) stays on your device. The app uses the internet only to fetch public news feeds and to open publisher websites when you choose to read a full story.
To provide its features, the app may access or process the following:
The app does not access your contacts, SMS, call logs, precise location, camera, microphone (except as used indirectly by your device’s TTS engine for audio output, not recording), or photo library. We do not ask for your name, email, or phone number to use the app.
The following may be stored locally on your phone or tablet to personalize your experience:
This information is stored in the app’s local storage on your device. Uninstalling the app typically removes this data unless your device backup restores it.
We do not collect, host, or maintain on our servers:
We do not sell your personal information.
News content is provided by independent third-party publishers through their public RSS feeds and websites. We do not control editorial content, accuracy, or privacy practices of those publishers.
When you open a full article, leave the app, or visit a publisher site, that third party’s privacy policy and terms apply. We encourage you to review the policies of sites you visit (for example BBC, Google News, The Guardian, or other sources shown in the app).
Fetching RSS feeds may reveal standard connection information (such as your IP address) to those publishers’ or content delivery networks’ servers, as with any app that loads content from the internet. We do not receive or store that information on our own systems.
Information processed by the app is used only to:
We do not use your data for targeted advertising or sell it to data brokers.
The app may request the following permissions:
You may deny or revoke notification permission in device Settings. The app will still work; only local breaking-news alerts will be disabled. Core reading features do not require notifications.
The app uses standard open-source and mobile libraries to operate (for example, local storage, navigation, notifications, text-to-speech, and image sharing). These components run on your device as part of the app.
The app does not include third-party advertising SDKs or behavioral analytics trackers (such as Firebase Analytics or similar) in its current version.
Device manufacturers (Google, Apple) and app stores may collect information according to their own policies when you download or update the app.
Because personal preferences and saved articles are stored locally, security also depends on your device (screen lock, OS updates, and whether others can access your phone). We recommend keeping your operating system and the app updated.
News content is transmitted over HTTPS where supported by the source feed. No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.
Trend Tea is a general news application and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app. News content comes from third-party publishers and may include mature topics.
Depending on your region (including GDPR, UK GDPR, or similar laws), you may have rights regarding personal data. For Trend Tea, you can:
Because we do not maintain user accounts or store your app data on our servers, we cannot retrieve local data from our systems after it is deleted from your device. To ask questions or exercise applicable rights, contact us using the details in Section 14.
The app can be used in different countries. News feeds may be oriented toward international or English-language sources. Third-party publishers may process connection data under their own policies. We do not transfer your locally stored app preferences to our own servers.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time—for example, if we add new features, permissions, or data practices. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy. For material changes, we may also notify you in the app or through the app store listing where appropriate.
